Adding a new category

Adding a new category to an inventory management system helps manage items more effectively. New categories improve the overall structure of your inventory, ensuring that items are easily accessible and identifiable.

  1. In the upper-left corner of the screen, select Access your applications (). The menu expands.

  2. Select Inventory () > Inventory Categories. The Inventory Categories screen appears.

  3. On the right, select Add Category (). The Add Category dialog box appears.

  4. In the Name field, enter the name of the category.

  5. In the Description field, enter the description of the category.

  6. Click Submit.

    An Alert Success message appears.
