Controls

Show requests between

Enter the start and end dates for the time frame for which to view employee time off requests.

If no end date is selected, the screen displays results for time off requests starting with the start date and including all future dates.

Default for start date is the current date.

Default for end date is No end date.

Sort and filter selections are saved automatically and will be applied the next time you open the screen.

Add Request

Opens the Select Employee dialog box, where you begin the process of adding a request to employee.

Filter

Filter the screen by the following options:

  • Filter Requests by Job

  • Show Home Job Only

  • Show Pending Requests

  • Show Approved Requests

  • Show Denied Request

  • Show Canceled Requests

  • Show All Requests

Sort and filter selections are saved automatically and will be applied the next time you open the screen.

View

Selects which informational columns appear in the table. Selected check boxes display the column. Cleared check boxes hide the column.

Options include:

  • Emp. ID

  • Pay Type

  • Seniority Date

  • Hire Date

  • Work Class

  • Primary Class

  • Secondary Class

  • Paid Time

  • Entered on

Sort and filter selections are saved automatically and will be applied the next time you open the screen.

Name or Emp ID

Filters results in the table by employee name or employee ID.

When you type a name or employee ID, the table updates based on your entries.

Import Requests

Opens a file manager window so you can import requests.

Name 

Name of employee.

Read-only.

 

Employee ID

Unique identification number of the employee.

Read-only.

 

Pay Type

Code for the employee’s pay type. Pay types include:

  • H—Hourly.

  • C—Contract hours used per week to determine the overtime hours limit.

  • S—Salaried Exempt: Employees may work over 40 hours a week to get paid time and a half.

  • N—Salaried Non-Exempt: Employees may work over 40 hours a week but do not get paid time and a half.

Seniority Date

Date on which the employee's seniority is calculated. 

Although this date is usually the same as the hire date, there are instances when the seniority date might differ from the hire date. For example, if an employee is initially hired, leaves the company, and is later rehired by the same company, their seniority date might be the date of the initial hire and their hire date might change to the rehire date.

Hire Date

Date when the employee was hired.

Read-only.

 

Work Class

Whether the employee is full time, part time, seasonal, temporary, or on call.

Read-only.

 

Primary Class

User-defined groups by which employees are organized.

Read-only.

 

Secondary Class

Additional user-defined groups by which employees are organized.

Read-only.

 

Start Date / Time

Day, date, and time on which requested time off begins.

Read-only.

 

End Date / Time

Day, date, and time on which requested time off ends.

Read-only.

 

Paid Time

Amount paid for the requested time off.

Read-only.

 

Time Off Type

Type of time off requested by employee. For example, Personal or Sick.

Read-only.

 

Status

Status of the employee time off request. Statuses include:

  • Pending

  • Approved

  • Denied

  • Canceled

Read-only.

 

Entered on

Day, date, and time on which requested time off was entered.

Read-only.

8 Tile section

Tile for each day 

Each day has a tile with the following information:

  • Status indicator (—The status bar indicates whether the number of requests submitted for that day is low, average, or high compared to averages from prior weeks.

    Example:

    The average number of time off requests submitted on a Sunday is 5.

    If 11 requests are submitted for the upcoming Sunday, the status bar will be red, and the needle on the gauge will point to the right, indicating that the number of time off requests submitted for this day is higher than prior averages.

    If 3 requests are submitted for the upcoming Sunday, the status bar will appear a yellowish green, and the gauge will point to the upper-left, indicating that the number of time off requests submitted for this day is slightly lower than prior averages.

  • Metrics for requests:

    • Pending

    • Approved

    • Denied
