Adding a backorder

You add a backorder to place an order for a product that is currently out of stock. It will be received once it becomes available again.

  1. In the upper-left corner of the screen, select Access your applications (). The menu expands.

  2. Select Inventory () > Backorders. The Backorder Management screen appears.

  3. In the upper right corner of the screen, select (). The Add Backorder dialog box appears.

  4. In the Item field, enter the name of the Item.

  5. In the Supplier field, enter the supplier of the item.

  6. In the Quantity Requested field, enter the requested quantity.

  7. In the Last Purchased Price (Per Unit) field, enter the last purchased price.

  8. In the Projected Price field, enter the projected price.

  9. Select Submit.
    An Alert Success message appears.
