Adding a new stock

Adding a new stock for an item ensures you have enough inventory to meet demand, and prevent shortages. If you are working with a supplier for the first time, Manage Suppliers will enable you to either create a new supplier or import supplier information using a supplier sheet.

  1. In the upper-left corner of the screen, select Access your applications (). The menu expands.

  2. Select Inventory () > Stock Console. The Stock Console screen appears.

  3. On the left, select an item row from one of the tabs: Consumable, Perishable, or Reusable.

  4. On the right, select Stock Details.

  5. Select Add Stock.
    The Add New Stock dialog box appears.

  6. Select the Supplier from the drop-down list.

  7. To add a new supplier do the following:

    1. In the Supplier field, select Manage Suppliers. The Manage Supplier screen appears.

    2. Select Add Supplier.

    3. In the Supplier Name field, enter the name of the supplier.

    4. In the Contact Number field, enter the contact number of the supplier.

    5. In the Email Id field, enter the email id of the supplier.

    6. Click Add and Select. An Alert Success message appears.
      You can see the added supplier in the list of supplier names.

  8. Select Stored Location from the drop-down list.

    Note: Stored location displays all locations set up for the specific property in the software. If the required location is not listed, you can configure the location from System Configuration > Location Management.

  9. In the Purchased Quantity field, enter the purchased quantity of the item.

    Note: The purchased quantity must be entered as a numerical value.

  10. In the Purchased Price field, enter the purchased price of the item.

    Note: The purchased price is entered per unit.

  11. In the Threshold Quantity field, enter the minimum stock for the supplier.

  12. To manage attachments do the following:

    1. Select Manage Attachments.

    2. Select New Attachment. The file manager opens.

    3. Select the file you want to attach and click Open. The file manager closes, and the new attachment is updated as primary attachment.

    4. Note: You can add multiple attachments, choose a primary image by selecting the box, and delete any attachments as required.

    5. Select Ok. The attachment is added.

    6. Note: Click the section heading to expand the Additional Information.

  13. Expand the Additional Information section.
  14. In the SKU field, enter the Stock Keeping Unit of the item.
  15. In the Expiry Date field, enter the expiry date of the item In the MM/DD/YY format.
  16. In the Dimension field, enter the Length, Width, and Height of the item.
    For example, L * W * H. You can use either Inches or Cm for the values.
  17. In the Color field, enter the color of the item.
  18. In the Power field, enter the value along with the unit, such as Ton, HP, or Watt.
  19. In the Weight field, enter the weight along the unit, such as GMS-g, KGS-kg, or LBS-lb
  20. Click Submit.
    An Alert Success massage appears.
