Adding action reasons
Note: Action reasons are created and mapped at the chain level. Once established or mapped, they are automatically enabled across all properties within that chain.
- From the main menu on the left side of the screen, select System Configuration (
).
The System Configuration module opens in a separate tab. By default, the User Console screen appears. - Select Maintenance Configuration (
) > Action Reasons. The Action Reasons screen appears. - In the New Reason Description field, type the reason description.
- From the Action Reason Type drop-down list, select an action reason.
- From the Service Reason Type drop-down list, select a service reason type to associate with the action reason.
- If you want to set all selected options as defaults, select Default Reason.
- Select Submit.
An Alert Success message appears. Your action reason appears in the action reason types listed on the right of the screen.
Note: Make sure to map the reason description with service reason description. If the action reason mapping for a service reason description is not available (NA), the synchronization cannot complete and the action reason will not be visible when you assign work.
