Mobile Configuration

Use the Mobile Configuration screen to determine what screens employees and managers can access from the Unifocus Mobile App. For more information, see Unifocus Mobile App Quick Reference Guide.

Note: If Leave of Absence is enabled, a second column appears on the screen. Use the Leave of Absence controls column to create a mobile configuration for employees who are on leave of absence, different from the configuration for Active Employees.

Field Description Notes
Scheduling and Requests

Time Off Requests

If selected, the Add Request button is visible on the Employee Requests screen. Employees can create new time off requests.


Schedules

If selected, employees can view their schedules and their peers' schedules.

Any schedules that have been made private do not appear on this screen.

Assignments

If selected, assignments are displayed on scheduled shifts.


Call Ins

If selected, the Call In button is visible on the Home screen. Employees can call in tardy or absent.


Drop Requests

If selected, the Drop Shift button is visible on the Shift Details screen. Employees can request that they drop a shift.


Pickup Requests

If selected, the Open Shifts button is visible on the Home screen. Employees can view any shifts that are currently available.


Swap Requests

If selected, the Swap Shift button is visible on the Shift Details screen. Employees can submit a request to swap shifts with another employee or respond to another employee's request to swap shifts.


Giveaway Requests

If selected, the Give Away Shift button is visible on the Shift Details screen. Employees can submit requests to give away a shift that they are scheduled to work.


Shift Request Overlap Minutes

Configure a threshold for shift overlap.

For example, if the overlap threshold is 15 minutes, an employee who is scheduled to work from 08:00 (8:00 AM) to 12:00 (12:00 PM) can be assigned a shift that begins at 11:45 (11:45 AM).


Availability

If selected, employees can submit requests to change their weekly availability.


Manage Schedules

If selected, managers can perform the following tasks on the Schedule Approvals screens:

  • Write schedules and mark schedules as complete—Users will see the Mark as Complete button if they have access to the Scheduling screens and have Labor Structure permissions to jobs requiring approval. They are authorized to mark schedules as complete.

  • Approve/unapprove schedules—Users with Labor Structure permissions to approve schedules will see the Approve and UnApprove buttons. They are authorized to approve and unapprove schedules.

  • Publish schedules—Users with this permission will see the Publish button. They are authorized to publish schedules.

 

Messages

If selected, the Messages button is visible on the Home screen. Employees can view messages.


Display names in lists

If selected, employee names are displayed in the Mobile App.


Display names in correspondence

If selected, employee names are displayed in messages and notifications.


Incomplete Schedule Indicator

Select to ensure that active employees will see an indicator in their Mobile Apps, which signals that the schedule is incomplete and subject to change.

 
Time and Attendance

Benefits

If selected, the Benefits button is visible on the Home screen. Employees can view configured benefit accruals.


Time Card

If selected, the Time Card button is visible on the Home screen. Employees can view their current time card.


Timecard Approvals

If selected, managers can approve shifts from the Mobile App.

 

Earning Disputes

If selected, employees can dispute a manager's change to earnings on the Mobile Time Card screen.


Shift Disputes

If selected, employees can dispute a manager's change to shifts on the Mobile Time Card screen.


Time Clock

If selected, employees can use the Mobile App to submit punches to the Time Clock.


Show Attendance Points for Months Prior

Determine how many months are included in the total Attendance Points displayed on the Attendance Points screen.

For example, if you select 3, the Attendance Points displayed in the employee's Mobile App includes all points the employee has acquired in the last 3 months.


Show Excused Points Details

If selected, employees can see their excused attendance points in the details view on the Attendance Points screen. Excused points do not count toward the points total.


Registration

Username

Choose whether the employee's username for the Mobile App will be:

  • Email—Employee's email address.

  • Emp. ID—Employee ID number.

  • Alt. Emp ID—Alternative employee ID number.


Invitation Expiration (days)

Number of days that an invitation to the Mobile App remains active after it is sent. If the employee does not register to join the Mobile App within the configured number of days, a new invitation must be sent.
