Payroll JE Map

Use the Payroll JE (Journal Entry) Map screen to configure how the system exports time and attendance data to an accounting system for tax and budgeting purposes.

Fields on the Payroll JE Map setup screen

Import Maps	Opens a file manager window, where you import a .CSV file containing mapping data from your payroll system.
Export Maps	Download a .CSV file containing data for all payroll journal entry maps.
Audit	View a history of changes to the screen.
Payroll JE Map pane		Section on the left.
Add	Add a payroll journal entry map.
Delete	Delete the selected payroll journal entry map.
Payroll JE Map list	Select a payroll journal entry map from the list to view more information in the Details pane.
Details pane		Section on the right.
Description	Name for the payroll journal entry map.
Assignment	Division, department, or job to which the mapping applies.
Payroll JE Map Type	Type of hours or costs to associate with the selected account or budget line. Options include: Regular—Total non-premium hours worked or total costs for non-premium hours worked. Overtime—Total overtime hours worked or total costs for overtime hours worked. Doubletime—Total double-time hours worked or total costs for double-time hours worked. Worked—Total hours worked or total costs for hours worked, including overtime and double-time hours. Taxes—Costs or hours associated with the selected Tax Type. Earning—Costs or hours associated with the selected Earning Type.
Tax Type	If Taxes is selected as the Payroll JE Map Type, you must select a Tax Type to apply to the mapping.	This field is available only if the selected Payroll JE Map Type is Taxes.
Earnings Type	If Earning is selected as the Payroll JE Map Type, you must select an Earning Type to apply to the mapping.	This field is available only if the selected Payroll JE Map Type is Earning.
Costs Account	Cost-based account to associate with the Payroll JE Map Type. Map a costs- or hours-based account if you want to export data from your time and attendance system to your payroll or accounting system.
Hours Account	Hours-based account to associate with the Payroll JE Map Type. Map a costs- or hours-based account if you want to export data from your time and attendance system to your payroll or accounting system.
Budget Line	Budget line to associate with the Payroll JE Map Type. Map a budget line if you want to export data from your time and attendance system to EPEP.
Reverse Sign	If selected, the Import Maps screen exports positive numbers as negatives or negative numbers as positives.
Include in EPEP	If selected, the mapping is included in EPEP data/calculations, in addition to creating an export for a payroll system.
Include in Accruals	If selected, the mapping is included in payroll accruals, in addition to creating an export for a payroll system.
Use Accrual Percent	If selected, the specified Accrual Factor is applied in calculating the payroll accrual.
Accrual Factor	The amount used in the payroll accrual calculation.
