Shift Difference OT
Shift Difference OT determines the overtime (OT) that employees receive if the time between their consecutive shifts is less than 10 hours.
The Shift Difference OT work rule type includes the following work rule:

Description |
Employees receive overtime (OT) if time between shifts is less than 10 hours. |

Example(s) |
An employee has just finished working an 8-hour shift but will start a new 8-hour shift within the next 5 hours. Because the first 5 hours of the upcoming shift fall within 10 hours of the end of the previous shift, all hours will be paid at the rate specified in the configured work rule. |

Convert Hours to OT |
If selected, this rule will convert the hours of the second shift to OT, and not add an additional earning. |

Convert Full Second Shift |
If selected, this rule will convert the entire second shift to OT, not just the portion inside the hours threshold. |
