Add/Edit Shift dialog box in Labor Standards

Select the Add Shift button on the Labor Standards screen to open the Add Shift dialog box, where you enter details to create a new shift for the selected job.

Note: If you select Add Shift, the name of the dialog box appears as Add Shift. If you select an existing shift from the table, the name of the dialog box appears as Edit Shift. The fields in both dialog boxes are the same.

Field Description Notes

Custom Shift Names

  • —If turned off, the Shift Name field becomes unavailable. When you enter a new shift day and time in the table, the software automatically populates the Shift Name field with a shift name based on the time and length of the entered shift.

  • —If turned on, the name of the shift is editable and customizable.

Format for automatic shift names: hh:mm AM/PM - hh:mm AM/PM (shift length in hours).

Default: Off.

Required.

Shift Name

Enter a name for the shift.

Required.

Apply to All

Create a shift with the same start time and end time for all days of the week.


Show All Days

Displays a row for each day of the week in the table, where you can enter different start times and end times for each day.


Day of Week

Day of the week. 

Default: Every day.

If Show All Days is selected, the table displays a row for each day of the week.

The order of weekdays is determined by the day entered in the Week Ending Day field in the Scheduling section of Property Labor/Scheduler.

Start Time

Start time for the shift.


End Time

End time for the shift.


Cancel

Closes the dialog box without applying your changes.


Save

Applies your changes and closes the dialog box.
