Adding a payroll journal entry map
Add a Payroll Journal Entry Map to configure how the software exports time and attendance data. You can then import the mappings to your accounting system for tax and budgeting purposes.

In the upper-left corner of the screen, select Access your applications (
).
The menu expands. -
Select Setup > Financial > Payroll JE Map.
The Payroll JE Map screen appears.

Select Add (
).
The Add Payroll JE Map dialog box opens. -
In the Description field, enter a name for the mapping.

In the Assignment field, select the division, department, job, or assignment to which the mapping applies.

In the Payroll JE Map Type field, select the types of hours/earnings to associate with the cost and/or hours account.

Select the Costs Account, Hours Account, and/or Budget Line to map:
To map a cost-based account:
In the Costs Account field, select the ellipsis icon (
).
The Costs Account dialog box appears.From the list, select the cost-based account to associate with the Payroll JE Map Type.
Select OK.
The selected cost-based account appears in the Costs Account field.
To map an hours-based account:
In the Hours Account field, select the ellipsis icon (
).
The Hours Account dialog box appears.From the list, select the hours-based account to associate with the Payroll JE Map Type.
Select OK.
The selected hours-based account appears in the Hours Account field.
Map a budget line if you plan to export data from T&A to EPEP:
In the Budget Line field, select the ellipsis icon (
).
The Budget Line dialog box appears.From the tree menu, select the budget line to associate with the Payroll JE Map Type.
Select Continue.
The selected budget line appears in the Budget Line field.

(Optional) Select the Reverse Sign check box to import a negative sign for an item that is configured as positive.

(Optional) Select the Include in EPEP check box to include the mapping in EPEP data/calculations.

(Optional) Select the Include in Accruals check box to include the mapping in payroll accruals.

(Optional) Select the Use Accrual Percent check box to apply a specified factor in calculating the payroll accrual.
Enter the Accrual Factor to apply to the calculation.

Select OK.
The new Payroll JE Map is added.
