Edit Pay Rates screen

Use the Edit Pay Rates screen to make pay rate changes to multiple jobs at one time. For more information, seeChanging pay rates for multiple jobs.

Note: By default, the Edit Pay Rates screen is sorted by Employee Name, then by Job.

Controls

Effective Date

Select the date when the new rate takes effect.

Either type the date in the field or select the date from the calendar menu.

Bulk Rate Adjustment

Opens the Bulk Rate Adjustment pane where you apply a rate change to multiple jobs.

Filter

Opens the Filter dialog box where you filter the jobs that appear in the table.

Export

Download the table as a spreadsheet file.

Close

Closes the dialog box without applying your changes.



Calculation Type

Select a method for how the pay rates will be adjusted.

  • Overwrite Existing—Replace the existing rates with a new, flat rate for all selected employees.

  • Add Fixed Amount—Add a fixed amount to the existing rates. 

  • Add Percentage—Add a percentage increase to the existing rates. 



Amount

Enter the amount by which the rates will be adjusted.



Cancel

Closes the dialog box without applying your changes.



Preview Changes

Loads a preview of the adjusted Edit Pay Rates table and shows the new rates for each employee. You can then save your changes or go back and make additional adjustments.

Select

Check boxes for selecting a job.

Default: All check boxes are clear.


Emp. ID

Unique identifying number for the employee.

Read-only.


Name

Name of the employee.

Read-only.


Job

Job associated with the employee.

Read-only.


Hire Date

Date on which the employee was hired.

Read-only.


Last Rate Change

Date on which the rate was last changed.

Read-only.


Current Rate

New rate at which the employee will be paid.

You can manually change a single employee's rate by clicking the displayed rate and typing the new amount.
