Deleting a glitch description

When you delete a glitch description, it will be removed from the glitch description list.
If an alert message appears while deleting the glitch description, unmap the glitch description from the properties.

Note: Ensure that you have a corporate user rights to delete a glitch description.

Note: To delete the existing glitch description, make sure to unmap the selected glitch description from the properties.

  1. From the main menu on the left side of the screen, select System Configuration (). The User Console screen appears.

  2. Select Glitch Configuration () > Glitch Manager.
    The Glitch Manager screen appears.

  3. On the right pane, hover over Actions and select the Delete ().
    The Confirmation dialog box appears.

    Note: If you see an Alert Failed message while removing a glitch description, it means to unmap the selected glitch description from the displayed properties. For more information, see Deleting a glitch description.

  4. To unmap the glitch description, in the table on the right, for the Glitch Description that you want to unmap, hover over the Actions column and select Map (). The Mapping Configuration dialog box appears.
  5. Select Clear all () to unmap the property.

  6. Select Submit.
    An Alert Success message appears.

  7. Note: If you see an unable to perform this action pop-window, it means that the selected glitch description is currently being used in Alert Manager, Auto Jobs, and existing glitches. For more information, see Unmapping a glitch description from properties.

    • To unmap the glitch description from the properties do the following:
    • Alert Manager:

      1. Select System Configuration()>Property Management ()>Alert Manager. The Alert Manager screen appears.

      2. From the Glitch Alerts, select the required Glitch Alert Name row and hover over the status column and select Edit (). The Edit Glitch Alert screen appears.

      3. From the Alerts, select Glitch.

      4. From the Glitch Description, In the search field, enter the glitch description you want to unmap or select View () to directly view the glitch description.

      5. Clear the box to unmap the required glitch description.

      6. Note:If there is only one glitch description mapped in the list, you will not be able to save and exit the screen. Make sure that at least one other description is mapped to unmap the required glitch description.

      7. Select Save & Exit. An Alert Success message appears.

      Auto Jobs:

      1. Select System Configuration()>Property Management ()>Auto Job Manager. The Auto Job Manager screen appears.

      2. From the Glitch Linked Auto Jobs, select the required Auto Job Name row and hover over the status column and select Edit (). The Edit Glitch Linked Auto Job screen appears.

      3. From the Trigger Job Definition, select Glitch.

      4. From the Glitch Description, In the search field, enter the glitch description you want to unmap or select View () to directly view the glitch description.

      5. Clear the box to unmap the required glitch description.

      6. Note:If there is only one glitch description mapped in the list, you will not be able to save and exit the screen. Make sure that at least one other description is mapped to unmap the required glitch description.

      7. Select Save & Exit. An Alert Success message appears.

      Close the existing glitch:

      1. From the main menu, select Glitch () > Glitch console. The Glitch console appears.
      2. In the search field, enter the glitch description you want to close.
      3. Select the glitch description. The Glitch details pane appears.
      4. At the top of the Glitch details pane, select Close. The Close glitch dialog box appears.
      5. From the Select reason drop-down list, select the option that best describes your reason for closing the glitch.
      6. In the Enter Remarks field, type any final notes that you want to add before closing the glitch.
      7. Select OK. The glitch is closed, and the dialog box closes.
  8. After unmapping the glitch description from Alert Manager, Auto Jobs, and existing glitches,
    on the left pane, hover over Department and select the Delete () icon.
    The Confirmation dialog box appears.
