Importing KBIs in the KBI Projections screen
To avoid manual entry of KBIs on the KBI Projections screen, you can import KBIs from an external system.
Prerequisite: Importing KBIs in the KBI Projections screen is available only if the Import Budget Forecast KBIs interface is configured.
Prerequisite: Before importing KBIs, you must first export a file from your external system to your computer.
-
In the upper-left corner of the screen, select Access your applications ( ).
The menu expands. -
Select Financial > Budgeting.
The Budgeting Dashboard screen appears.
-
In the Budgeting menu pane, select KBI Projections ( ).
The KBI Projections screen appears.
-
Select Import KBIs.
The Import KBIs dialog box appears. -
Select the Period for which to import KBIs.
Note: Selecting an import period is not required for all types of interfaces. For interfaces that do not require a period, the entire year is typically imported. (If a file contains all 12 periods, selecting a period is not usually required because all the data is imported. If a file contains less than a year's worth of data, you are often required to specify the period into which it will be imported.)
-
Select Choose File.
A file manager window appears. -
From your file manager, select a file with your KBIs and select Open.
The name of the selected file appears next to the Choose File button. -
Select OK.
The screen updates with your imported KBIs.
Note: Although the import process includes a recalculation, Unifocus recommends recalculating the budget again after you review imported data. For more information, see Recalculating the budget in the KBI Projections screen.
