Importing budget lines in Budget Utilities
Use the Import Budget Lines budget utility if you prefer to build your budget tree in Excel and then import it into Unifocus Budgeting. You can then use the Budgeting software to edit your imported lines.
Prerequisite: To import budget lines, you must have the Unifocus template file. Contact your Unifocus Client Success Manager (CSM) for this file.

In the upper-left corner of the screen, select Access your applications ( ).
The menu expands. -
Select Financial > Budgeting.
The Budgeting Dashboard screen appears.

In the Budgeting menu pane, select Budget Utilities ( ) > Import Budget Lines.

Field Description Notes Enter Password of the Day
Enter the unlock code, which is a passcode that automatically resets based on a formula.
You must request the unlock code from UnifocusService Desk.
Choose File
Opens a file manager window where you can select a file.
This control appears only if you have correctly entered the Password of the Day / passcode.
Cancel
Closes the dialog box without applying your changes.
OK
Applies your changes and closes the dialog box.

In the Enter Password of the Day field, enter the unlock code.
Note: If you do not know the unlock code, contact Unifocus Service Desk.
Important: A message appears to alert you that importing new lines will cause all existing lines to be permanently deleted. If you want to add individual lines, go to the Budget Structure screen in Budgeting.

Select Choose File.
A file manager window appears. -
From your file manager, select a file with your budget lines and select Open.
The name of the selected file appears next to the Choose File button. -
Select OK.
All existing lines are permanently deleted, and the budget lines in your file are added to Unifocus Budgeting.
