Projecting accruals in the Benefits screen

Projecting accruals analyzes data for current pay periods—that is, the hours that employees worked—and runs the work rules Benefit Accrual against that data. You might project accruals if you change a Benefit Accrual work rule or if you changed an employee's hours and you need to recalculate those hours to determine the ending balance for the pay period.

Note: You typically do not need to perform this task often because the software automatically projects accruals when you close a pay period. 

1. In the upper-left corner of the screen, select Access your applications (  ).
   The menu expands.

2. Select T&A > Benefits.
   The Benefits screen appears.

3. In the upper-right corner of the screen, select Project Accruals.
   The accruals are projected. 
   When the process is complete, a message appears with a link to retrieve the file. If the file is a “zipped” (compressed) folder, you will need to unzip the folder to extract the individual files before moving them to their destination folder.
