Responding to an Employee Selection request

When an employee requests to pick up an open shift from the Unifocus Mobile App, RMS creates an Employee Selection request. Employee Selection requests are also called Open Shift Pick Up or Shift Genius.

Accessing the Shift Requests screen

  1. In the upper-left corner of the screen, select Access your applications ( main menu icon ).
    The menu expands.
  1. Select Labor > Employee Requests.
    The Employee Requests screen appears.

  1. In the navigation pane on the left, select Shift Requests  ().

Assigning an Employee Selection request

  1. Select a shift request card.
    The details of the request appear in the details pane on the right.

  2. In the Details tab, review the details of the request.

  3. Select the Recipients tab.

  4. Expand ( ) the employee details to review the changes that will be made to the employee's schedule if the shift is assigned.

  5. Next to the employee to whom you want to assign the shift, select Assign.
    The shift is assigned to the selected employee and the Shift Request card moves to the Approved section.

Canceling an Employee Selection request

  1. Select a shift request card.
    The details of the request appear in the details pane on the right.

  2. At the bottom of the details pane, select Cancel Request.
    The Shift Request card moves to the Denied section.
