Working with shift adjustments in Employee Schedules

Shift adjustments are typically used to add an hours adjustment for an employee's break.

Note: Your property must be configured to use adjustments for this section to appear.

Adding an adjustment

  1. In the schedule pane, double-click a shift.
    The Edit Shift pane opens.

  2. In the Adjustments section, select Add.
    The Add Adjustment section appear.

  3. In the Hours field, type the number of hours for the adjustment.

  4. In the Reason field, type custom text to that provides a reason for the adjustment. For example, you might enter Lunch break.

  5. In the Add Adjustment section, select Save Adjustment (  ).
    The adjustment is added to the shift.

  6. (Optional) To add another adjustment, repeat steps 2 through 5. 

  7. When you are finished adding adjustments, select Save.
    The updated shift is saved, and an adjustment icon (  ) appears on the scheduled shift cell.

Editing an adjustment

  1. In the schedule pane, double-click a shift with an adjustment.
    The Edit Shift pane opens.

  2. In the Adjustments section, select Edit (   ) for the shift adjustment you want to edit.
    The Add Adjustment section appear.

  3. In the Hours field, delete the original number and type the new number of hours for the adjustment.

  4. In the Reason field, delete the original text and type the new text to that provides a reason for the adjustment. For example, you might enter Lunch break.

  5. In the Add Adjustment section, select Save ).
    The adjustment is updated.

  6. (Optional) To edit another adjustment, repeat steps 2 through 5. 

  7. At the bottom of the Edit Shift pane, select Save.
    The updated shift is saved.

Deleting an adjustment

  1. In the schedule pane, double-click a shift with an adjustment.
    The Edit Shift pane opens.

  2. In the Adjustments section, select Delete(   ) for the shift adjustment you want to delete.
    The Add Adjustment section appear.

  3. In the Hours field, delete the original number and type the new number of hours for the adjustment.

  4. In the Reason field, delete the original text and type the new text to that provides a reason for the adjustment. For example, you might enter Lunch break.

  5. In the Add Adjustment section, select Save ).
    The adjustment is updated.

  6. (Optional) To edit another adjustment, repeat steps 2 through 5. 

  7. At the bottom of the Edit Shift pane, select Save.
    The updated shift is saved.
