Attendance Points and Events
The Attendance screen tracks employees' adherence to or violation of attendance policies. The Time and Attendance module determines attendance infractions by comparing discrepancies between employees' scheduled shifts and their actual worked hours. This process is known as exception reporting and tracks infractions such as absenteeism, late arrivals, early arrivals, late departures, long breaks, or other attendance events that might be important to an organization.
If employees violate an attendance policy (for example, arriving late), points are associated with their records. When accumulated employee points exceed the established parameters, anemployee event is generated. For example, each time employees are late for work, they receive a point for the late arrival. Five late arrivals (or five Late Arrival points) trigger an employee event, which generates a warning letter that can be sent the employee.
The Attendance Points and Events screen enables you to do the following:
-
Search for points and events.
-
View detailed information about points and events.
-
Manually add points and events.
-
Generate employee documents.
-
Mark event documents as executed.
-
Mark points as acknowledged or excused.
Your property's attendance policies can be configured in the Employee Alerts and Employee Event work rules. These configurations determine when points are attributed to employees and how many points are needed to trigger the corresponding event. When an event is triggered, the manager can generate a letter to notify the employee using the templates in Employee Event Document Templates.
