Day Off Rotation Plans

Use day off rotation plans to automate the scheduling of employees’ days off. For example, if employees with the same job are allowed to have every third weekend off, you can configure RMS to automatically manage this scheduling process. Assign day off rotation plans to employees in the Scheduling tab of Employee Maintenance of Employee Maintenance.

Day off rotation plans are a set of patterns through which employees are rotated. For example, if you have 20 employees, you might not want any more than five employees assigned to a given pattern. The first five employees will be assigned to pattern 1, the next five will be assigned to pattern 2, and so on. Create as many day off patterns as you need to assure that you are appropriately staffed at any given time without over- or under-utilizing your employees.

Note: Use the Scheduling tab on the Employee Maintenance screen to assign Day Off Rotation Plans to employees. You can also assign which pattern number the employee will start on. For more information, see Scheduling tab of Employee Maintenance.
