Export Datasets dialog box in Budget Utilities

The Export Dataset dialog box is accessed from the Budget Utilities drop-down list in the Budgeting menu pane. Use this dialog box to select the property, year, and dataset(s) that you want to export.

Fields on the Export Datasets dialog box

Field Description Notes
Selected Properties

Search

Search for a property.


Property list

List of all available properties.

This list displays only the properties to which you have access.

control  control

Expand/Collapse

control—Expands the Selected Properties pane.

control—Collapses the Selected Properties pane.

Default: Pane is expanded.

Dataset information

Data File

Select the Data File check box to export the dataset to the My Processes screen. 


Connect URL

Select the Connect URL check box to export the dataset to the configured web address.


File Name

Name of the export file.

Add the file extension in the name. For example, export.csv.

Append property code to file name

Select to append the property code to the file name.

This selection is only relevant if you are exporting multiple properties. If you are exporting multiple properties, select this option.


Append year to file name

Select to append the year to the file name.

This selection is helpful if you are keeping historical records.


Year

The year to which you will export data.


Dataset

Select the types of datasets to include. Options include:

  • System-Defined Datasets—Selecting this option opens a field for selecting system-defined datasets that are shared across the selected Property locations.

  • User-Defined Datasets—Selecting this option populates the Selected Properties table with user-defined datasets at the selected properties.

If System-Defined Datasets is selected, the Select Dataset field appears.

Select Dataset

Select a system-defined dataset, that is, a dataset that is shared across the selected Property locations. The Selected Properties table updates with all selected properties that share the dataset.

This field appears only if System-Defined Dataset is selected.

Dataset table

This table is populated with your selected datasets to be exported.

  • If you selected System-Defined Datasets as the Dataset type, the table displays the selected system-defined datasets (from the Select Dataset field) that are shared for the selected properties for the selected year.

  • If you selected Individual Datasets as the Dataset type, the table displays the user-defined datasets for the selected properties. If necessary, you can then edit the individual datasets.

Dataset values:

  • Read-only if you selected System-Defined Datasets.

  • Editable for each Selected Property if you selected User-Defined Datasets.

Cancel 

Closes the dialog box without applying your changes.


Export

Exports the selected datasets and closed the dialog box.
