Add Item pane

The Add Item pane appears when you select Add () on the Items tab on the New Checklist pane. Use this pane to enter all necessary information for the new item.

Field Description Notes

Category

Select the category that best describes the item.

Required.

Items

Enter a question, task, or a description of the inspection criteria.

Required.

Capture Comments Mandatory

If selected, inspectors are required to enter a comment for the item.

 

Capture Images Mandatory

If selected, inspectors are required to attach an image of the item.

 

Must rate this item

If selected, inspectors are required to rate the item.

 

Customized Fields

Displays sub-items and relevant information. You can also edit or delete sub-items by selecting Edit () or Delete () in the sub-item row.

 

Move up / Move down

Select the up arrow to move the selected item up one row.

Select the down arrow to move the selected item down one row.

 

Add Sub-Item(s)

Expands controls used to add sub-items.

 

Field Name

Enter a name for the sub-item.

This field appears only when Add Sub-Item(s) is selected.

UI Type

Determine what type of user interface element appears when the inspector encounters the sub-item.

Options include:

Is Mandatory

If selected, inspectors are required to rate the sub-item.

This field appears only when Add Sub-Item(s) is selected.

Save

Saves the sub-item to the Customized Fields table.

This field appears only when Add Sub-Item(s) is selected.

Cancel

Closes the sub-item controls.

This field appears only when Add Sub-Item(s) is selected.

Save & Continue

Saves the item and clears all fields so you can add a new item.

 

Save & Close

Saves your entry and closes the pane.

 

Cancel

Closes the pane without saving your entry.
