Cloning a PM

You can clone a PM to create a new PM that is similar to an existing PM. Cloning an existing PM saves time and ensures consistency by replicating task details, schedules, and instructions. Not only does cloning a task streamline the task creation process, but it also minimizes the risk of errors and omissions in configuration. For example, if your hotel has a monthly room inspection task in the Maintenance software to ensure that fire safety equipment is in working order, you could clone this task to create identical inspections for other rooms without the need to recreate all the details and schedules.

  1. From the main menu on the left side of the screen, select the Maintenance ( ) option. The Work Order Console appears.

  2. From the Maintenance menu, select Preventive Maintenance () > PM Console.
    The PM Console appears.

  1. If necessary, use the search and filter options to find the PM.

  2. Select the row of the PM that you want to clone.

    The PM details pane opens.

  3. In the upper-right corner of the pane, select the vertical ellipsis () button.

  4. From the drop-down list, select Clone.

    The Clone PM screen appears.

  5. Update the fields as necessary.

  6. When you are finished updating the fields, select Submit.
