Deleting assets
You might delete an asset in the Assets component of the Maintenance software when the asset is no longer in use, has been replaced, or is retired. Deleting unnecessary assets ensures that the asset list remains up to date and relevant for effective asset management and maintenance planning.
You can either delete a single asset or multiple assets at the same time.

From the main menu on the left side of the screen, select the Maintenance (
) option. The Work Order Console appears. -
From the Maintenance menu, select Assets (
) > Asset Console. The Asset Console appears.

If necessary, use the search and filter options to find the asset.

Do one of the following:

To delete a single asset:

Select the row of the asset that you want to delete.
The details pane opens. -
From the vertical ellipsis (
) drop-down list in the upper-right corner of the details pane, select Delete.
A confirmation dialog box appears. -
Select OK.
The asset is deleted.

To delete multiple assets at the same time:

Select the checkboxes of the assets that you want to delete.
As you select rows, the Selected Rows counter in the lower-right corner of the screen updates with the number of selected items. -
When you are ready to delete the selected batch of assets, select the delete (
) button next to the Selected Rows counter in the lower-right corner of the screen.
The Bulk Delete dialog box appears. The table displays the information on the selected assets. -
Select Yes.
The batch of assets are deleted.
