In this release of the Mobile App, users requesting time off for periods exceeding 30 days will now receive a warning message and must confirm their request.

New Features, Improvements

Enhanced configurability and redesign of the Peer Schedules screen in the Mobile App

This release of the Mobile App introduces significant improvements to the Peer Schedules screen in My Schedule.

The following improvements provide managers and administrative users with greater control over job visibility and enhancing user interaction with peer scheduling information:

  • Job filter customization—Administrative users can now specify which jobs appear in peer schedules through a new Peer Schedules Job Filter added to the Mobile Configuration screen. This filter allows selection among three settings:

    • Jobs Only—Show only jobs (job codes) that match the employee's. This is the default setting.

    • Jobs/Departments—Show only jobs (job codes) that match the employee's and also jobs within the same department as those jobs

    • All Jobs—Shows all jobs at the property.

The following improvements are designed to make scheduling more intuitive and user-friendly, allowing employees to efficiently manage and interact with their schedules and those of their peers.

  • Enhanced Peer Schedules user interface

    • A new Select Job dialog box enables employees to choose specific jobs for viewing schedules, enhancing focus and reducing clutter.

    • The Peer Schedules screen now displays schedules in a grid format, where shifts are shown as buttons. Selecting a shift pulls up a detailed drawer at the bottom of the screen with comprehensive shift details.

    • Peer schedules can now be viewed on days when employees are off.

  • Improved navigation and accessibility

    • The Peer Schedules screen includes a job filter and a date selector to refine the display of schedules according to specific jobs and dates.

    • Employees will see shifts for the selected job and date, displayed in a clear and organized manner, with all shifts starting on the chosen date available for easy viewing.

Manager warning for time off requests exceeding 30 days

In this release of the Mobile App, managers entering employee time off requests (TORs) for periods exceeding 30 days will now receive a warning message and must confirm their request.

Fixed Issue

Enhanced Mobile App performance for employee shift requests

In some instances of previous releases, employees encountered slow performance when completing shift requests in the Mobile App.

The software has been updated to improve performance of employee shift requests.

Fixed Issue

Resolved issue with confirmation for time off requests in the Mobile App

In some instances of previous releases, Mobile App users did not receive an alert when approving Time Off Requests (TOR) for full days. This alert is to ensure that managers are aware that approving the TOR will unassign the employee from any overlapping shifts, which will remain open for reassignment. Managers can choose to proceed with the approval or cancel to take no action.

The software has been updated so that users now receive the alert, as expected.

Fixed Issue

Resolved issue with swapping shifts

In some instances of previous releases, Mobile App users experienced issues where shifts available for swapping, particularly those for secondary jobs, were not consistently displayed.

The software has been updated to ensure that all accessible shifts, which do not conflict with users' schedules, are now properly displayed.

Event information in the My Schedules screen on the Mobile App

This release introduces the following improvements to Open Shifts in the My Schedules screen of the Unifocus Mobile App:

  • An event icon () appears next to the open shifts that are associated with events.

  • When selecting an open shift that is associated with an event, the complete shift information, including the event details, appears in a pop-up window.

Notification for denied pickup shift request

When managers approve pickup shift requests, employees who accepted the request but were not approved will receive an email and mobile push notification informing them that their pickup requests were not approved.

Paid hour distributions appear correctly

In some instances of previous Mobile App releases, paid hour distributions for time off requests (TORs) appeared incorrectly if the TOR was edited after initial distributions occurred.

The software has been updated so that distributed hours appear correctly in the Mobile App.

Improvement

Updated default screen in the employee Mobile App

The default landing screen in employees' Unifocus Mobile App has been updated to better align with users' needs. Previously, employees were greeted by the Time Off Requests screen upon login. Now, the My Schedules screen will be the first screen employees see, reflecting the primary reason most employee users access the app: to check their schedules.

Note: This change affects only the default landing screen for employee users. It does not affect managers' version of the Mobile App. The default screen for managers is Alerts.

Improvement

Entering time off requests with two decimal places for hours

In this release of the Mobile App, you can now enter time off requests (TORs) with two decimal places in the Hours field. For example, you can submit a TOR for 5.25 hours. This improvement allows for more accurate TOR submissions.

Improvement

Schedule labels are applied by start times

In previous releases of the Employee Shift Details screen in the Mobile App, labels were applied to any shift that overlapped with the day the label was intended for, including overnight shifts ending on that day.

With this update, schedule labels will only attach to shifts whose start time falls within the day of the label. This change prevents confusion by ensuring labels only appear on relevant shifts, enhancing clarity and accuracy in shift scheduling.

Improved conflict management for mobile time off requests

When a scheduling manager approves a time off request (TOR), the approval will automatically unassign the employee from these shifts, which will remain open for reassignment.

Improved notifications for availability requests

When a manager responds to an availability request, employees receive a detailed in-app message and, if enabled, SMS and push notifications indicating whether the request was approved or denied. This update ensures that employees are promptly and clearly informed about the status of their availability changes.

Correct message is sent to manager for open shift requests

In some instances of previous releases, when an employee requested to pick up an open shift in the Mobile App, an incorrect message was sent to the manager. The message included the manager's name rather than the employee's name.

The software has been updated so that when an employee requests to pick up an open shift in the Mobile App, the correct message is sent to the manager. This message includes the employee's name, as expected.

In some instances of previous Mobile App releases, employees encountered screen text that displayed underscores between words.

The software has been undated so that words appear separated by spaces rather than underscores, as expected.

Choosing recipients in the Mobile App

In some instances of previous Mobile App releases, you were unable to add recipients to a new message because the Add Recipients screen did not populate with the list of recipients.

The software has been updated so that when sending a new message, the Add Recipients screen populates with available recipients, as expected.
