Task Setup screen

Use the Task Setup screen to create, edit, duplicate, run, and delete scheduled tasks. From this screen, you can also view details for all created tasks.

Order by

Sort the screen by the following options:

  • Time of Creation

  • Alphabetical

Task Type

Filter the screen by tasks with the selected task type. Options include:

  • All
  • Calculate Attendance—Runs the Employee Points work rules and gives employees points when the employees' punches are outside of the established parameters. The purpose of this task is to record and report attendance infractions such as absenteeism, tardiness, early arrival, late departure, long breaks, and meals.

  • Calculate Forecast Accuracy—Runs algorithms to calculate both system and manager revenue center forecast accuracy.

  • Generate Projected Hours—Generates a forecast for the number of hours required to meet projected business volumes.

  • Generate Revenue Center Forecast—Generates a business volume forecast for your revenue centers.

  • Generate Rooms Forecast—Generates a forecast for rooms, arrivals, departures, and guests for transient market segments.

  • Generate Schedules—Generates a schedule based on labor requirement, regular schedules you might have created, each employee's required and preferred time off, and all jobs that an employee is trained to work.

  • Generate Standard Hours—Calculates how many hours of labor each job should have used to meet actual business volumes.

  • Import Forecast KBI Data—Imports forecast information from external, third-party systems such as a property management system (PMS) to populate forecast KBI data.

  • Open New Planning Period—Closes last week's forecast period and rolls the date forward to begin forecasting for the upcoming week.

  • Populate Revenue Data—Generates revenue data information in RMS.

  • Pre-Shift Screening Notifications—Sends notifications to employees who have an active survey on a specified number of minutes before their shift. The number of minutes is defined in an Employee Alerts work rule.

  • Project Accruals—Projects benefit accruals based on the Benefit Accrual work rules for the current pay period.

  • Reconcile Employees—Reconciles RMS employee information with information from an external, third-party system and updates accordingly. 

  • Reports—Schedules reports to run automatically. Reports can also be scheduled from Reporter.

  • Update Pre-Shift Screening Schedules—Enables surveys for employees based on their schedules for the next 24 hours.

Available task types depend on your license.

Created by

Filter the screen to display only tasks that were created by the selected user.

 More Filters

Opens the Advanced Filter Options dialog box, where you select whether tasks are notified on success, failure, or both.

Search

Enter a task name in the field and select the search ( ) button. The table updates based on your entry.

Create Task

Opens the Create New Task wizard, where you create a new scheduled task.

Task details

This text includes the following information about the task:

  • Task name

  • Status

  • Task Type

  • Created By

  • Last Edited By

  • Enabled/Disabled by

  • Standard Set (if applicable)

  • Labor Structure

  • Number of recipients

A white check mark in a green circle () indicates that the last running of the task was successful.

Read-only.

View Details

Opens the Task Details pane, which displays read-only information about the selected task.

More options

Hover over the ellipsis button () and select one of the following options:

  • Disable / Enable

    • Disable—Suspends an enabled scheduled task so that it will not run.

    • Enable—Reactivates a disabled scheduled task so that it will run.

  • Run Now—Runs a scheduled task immediately.

  • Edit—Opens the Edit Notification dialog box, where you edit the selected notification.

  • Duplicate—Opens the Duplicate Notification dialog box, where you duplicate the selected notification and edit as necessary.

  • Delete—Opens a dialog box, where you can delete the selected notification.

  • Go to Log—Opens the Task Log screen in a separate tab with the selected task highlighted.

  • The Go to Log option is available only for tasks that have already been run.

  • If a task is enabled, the Disable option appears in the drop-down list. If a task is disabled, the Enable option appears in the drop-down list.

Showing ___ out of ___ items

Text that describes the number of displayed tasks out of the total number of created tasks.

Read-only.

Page navigation controls

The central buttons indicate the number of pages. The highlighted button indicates which page you are viewing. Either select a page number button or use the previous and next buttons to navigate through the pages.

If there is only one page of tasks, the previous and next buttons are unavailable.

  Notifications Details pane

General details

Displays the details for the selected notification.

Read-only.
