Adjust Hours and Rates screen in Budgeting

The Adjust Hours and Rates screen displays hours and rates for jobs in your property.

Tools

Options include:

  • Re-Calculate Budget—Recalculates your working dataset.

  • Import Adjustments—Opens the Import Adjustments dialog box where you select the file to import.

  • Download Adjustments template—Opens a file manager window where you can download the Adjustments Template.

Refresh

Contacts the database, pulls data from the last time you published, and then reverts the budget to the state of the last publication.

This button is available only if you have added or cleared an adjustment.

Save

Saves your changes to the database. For example, you will want to save the budget after you perform an hours and rate adjustment.

This button is available only if you have added or cleared an adjustment.

Data Display

Selects the time frame for which to view data. Options include:

  • Annual

  • Quarter

  • Period

  • Daily > Configured financial periods

By default, the Period view is selected and opens to the first division or property sorted in alphabetical order.

Your selected data display is saved for your session, so if you go to another screen and then return to the Adjust Hours and Rates screen, the data is displayed in the previously selected time frame.

Edit Job Selection

Opens the Jobs or Op Codes dialog box where you select jobs or Op codes to display.

Expand / Collapse All Periods

  • —Expand all periods.

  • —Collapse all periods.

Add Adjustments controls

From the drop-down and fly-out menus, select the types of adjustments to add. Options include:

  • Rates

    • Fixed Value

    • % Adjustment

  • Hours

    • Fixed Value

    • % Adjustment

  • OT Hours

    • Fixed Value

    • % Adjustment

After selecting an option, the Add Adjustment wizard appears. For more information, see Adding an hours and rate adjustment.

Delete Adjustment

Opens the Delete Adjustment dialog box where you can clear one or multiple adjustments.

Selects which hours and rates rows appear in the table. Selected check boxes display the row; cleared check boxes hide the row.

Options include:

  • All

  • Hours

  • Rates

  • Costs



Table

The table view is customizable and depends on your selections from the fields at the top of the screen.

Time frame for data display

The information in the table appears based on the selected data display type.

Hours and rates

Displays the following information for each job:

  • Projected Hours—System-generated hours for the employee.

  • Hours and Rate Adjustments—Hours and rates adjustments that were entered in the Add Adjustment wizard or imported through the Adjustments Template CSV file.

  • Net Hours—Projected Hours +/− adjustments.

  • OT Hours—Overtime Hours: the total hours defined as overtime through overtime adjustments.

  • Avg. Rate—Average rate of pay expected for employees during the selected time frame.

  • Net Rate—Blend of all rates: Average Wage, Adjusted Rate and OT Rate. (New Rate = total dollars/net hours)

  • OT Rate—Overtime rate of pay for the employees during the selected time frame. This is a calculated value of the Net Rate multiplied by the system OT Premium, which is configured in System > Property > Labor/Scheduler > Overtime Factors > OT.

  • Costs—Total costs for the select job. Costs =(Net Hours × Net Rate) + (OT Hours × OT Premium).

The yellow exclamation point icon () next to total costs indicates existing adjustments.

Read-only.

The information that appears in the section depends on your selection from the View menu (  ).

Jobs

Jobs to which the adjustments are applied. These jobs correspond to your company's T&A Codes.

The organization is based on your job selection.

Column filters

Control, customize, and filter the information for table columns.

Column filters are saved only for your current session. They are not saved for other sessions or other users.

Total

This section displays the totals for all jobs selected in the filtered view based on the selected data view (Annual, Quarter, Period, or Daily). 

Read-only.

Annual Summary

Displays annual summary of total costs, net hours, net rates.

Read-only.

The information that appears in the section depends on your selection from the View menu (  ).

Only show Totals for Net Hours, Net Rate & Total Cost

Select to display only totals for new hours, net rates, and total costs.

Clear the check box to see more totals.
